Protest In a Box

My chosen theme for the brief of protest was Black Lives Matter, as I believe it is a relevant topic of discussion.

I wanted to incorporate the idea of justice through the imagery of a realistic protest using handmade signs and banners. 

I also used newspaper articles and facts that were written in black pen to connote to the fact that statistics fail to match the misinformation spread by the media.

Critical Link

For my project I researched the designers; Peter Kennard, Cat Phillips and Ai Wei Wei.

I used them as my inspiration for my Protest in Box, as they all have produced art as a part of their own activism, which relates to my ideas for my work.
